Have you ever been kept in the dark
Then from this group of Old and New musicians comes a style of entertainment that will need no explanation.
Led by the elder stateman of Tasmanian folk music Chris Cruise "IN THE DARK" will segway from song to song, story to story swapping and changing instruments to suit.
This band of tough but sensative musicians will keep up with the ever changing mood and genre but always "In the Dark". What was played last week may have no resemb;ance to the same song played next time.
Hinting at Jazz, Rolling in Blues, Jumping to jug Wandering to the world of Folk with old and new tunes written by the bass/resonator guitarist Steve (Our musical director) played sometimes on instruments built by our own hands from stuff.
Susan, Annie and Violet make up the permanent members, with cameo performances by Rainer G and Miss Emily from time to time.
Now like the band, the reader will be "IN the Dark" and have to catch the next performance.

Wolves of Rain

The Wolves of Rain is a new project of local singer/songwriter Wolf-Arrow Rain, former front lady of swinging folk-rock bands The Black Swan and The Bursting Sun. This line-up has Brendan Kays on drums, David Elliston on piano and organ and Matthew Finlayson on bass. They give a sweet mixture of sensitive folk and a healthy portion of raw rocking out to the romantic and imaginative songs of Wolf-Arrow.
